A Frozen 2 is In the Making

Frozen 2 is officially in development at Walt Disney Animation Studios with directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee and producer Peter Del Vecho, the Oscar®-winning filmmaking team behind Frozen.

I LOVE sequels and Frozen 2 will be just that!  If you enjoyed Frozen, get ready because you will not want to miss out on Frozen 2.   Olaf is such a favorite in my home.  I just can not wait.

The news was announced at Disney’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders this morning by Bob Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company; John Lasseter, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios; and actor Josh Gad, who provides the voice of Olaf from Frozen.

“We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters,” said John Lasseter. “Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.

Frozen has won a variety of awards and nominations, many of them in the Best Original Song “Let It Go” and Best Animated Feature categories.   The film earned two nominations at the 71st Global Awards, and won for Best Animated Feature.  At the 86th Academy Awards, Frozen became the first film by Walt Disney Animation Studios to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, and won the Best Original Song award for “Let It Go”.  Frozen has also won Many more awards.  I can only imagine what Frozen 2 will bring in as far as awards.  Frozen has been a family favorite in my home for sure.  Elsa, Anna, and Olaf are favorites.
While Frozen 2 is in development, a release date is has not yet been announced.
