My Own Inspiring Quote and Enter to Win Wellness Products from Hyland’s
I have come up with my own inspiring quote, and story and you can too! Mine is below!

This is my dad, and mom at my nephews college graduation.
“My life began with my mom by my side, all throughout life by each others side, and me by my mom’s side at the end of her life.”
It always works out that way, or that’s the way it should be. My mom, has inspired me to be the best mom that I can be. I have tried to walk in my moms footsteps. I can’t be exactly like her, but I am always here for my children, just as she was. My mom passed away from Melanoma Cancer and she was a hard worker for her children and family. She worked all the way up until 6 months before her passing. My dad became too ill for her to continue to work and she stopped working two months before he passed away. Four months later mom passed away. October 17, 2013.

Our Family. Me to the bottom far right. 🙂
I was born June 17th, 1975. Mom was by my side from that day forward. As a child growing up, as an adult and if I ever needed her for anything, she was right there by my side. I was there when she needed me. If she called for help with something and I could do it, I was sure to do what I could to be right by her side. When dad passed away in June of 2013, mom needed help being taken care of. My sister started staying with my mom, since she didn’t have children at the time to get back and forth places. I would come and stay with mom, from Sundays to Fridays and then a third sister would come and stay the weekends. Being a blogger, I was able to do that, since I don’t work away from my home. My husband stayed home with our children and made sure they got off to school each day. I stayed with mom and was happy to care for her. It only made me closer to her. Mom worried about her children all through her life, just as I do today. If there was the sound of ambulance sirens or fire truck sirens, she would ask, “Where are all my kids?” I do the same thing. My children say I over-react, but that is what mom instilled in me and I am a worry-wort just like mom.

“My life began with my mom by my side, all throughout life by each others side, and me by my mom’s side at the end of her life.”
We had a birthday party for mom before she passed away. She was supposed to be 69 come October 30, 2013. We had her party for her on October 13, 2013. My sister had set it up for that day, because the Doctor had only given her so long to live. I believe 50 people showed up for her birthday party. That night was my night to start spending the night for my days to care for her. The next morning it was way early in the morning and she couldn’t breathe. We called the Ambulance and she was taken to the hospital to never return back home. She stayed in the hospital until her passing. She was beginning to suffer and call out for help to breathe. Her cancer was spread to her lungs and it was blocking her from breathing. We all made a family decision for her not to suffer anymore. Mom sure suffered a lot but never showed it much. She was not one to take pain meds and refused morphine up until her last day of life. Just as I would. She was surrounded by all of the family in her room. Hospice came in and prayed with her as she was calling for help, softly because you couldn’t really hear her. You could only see her lips calling for help to breathe. As Joyce prayed over her, she slowly closed her eyes and she was in no more pain, no more calling for help. Her last word was “Wow!” Again barely whispering. They gave her some dilaudid and she was back to sleep. Us kids were right there to all talk and make the decision for her not to keep waking every hour to asking for help. She was given a Morphine drip mixed with Ativan about 1 AM in the morning. It took over 10 hours, until she passed away. She passed away a little after 11 AM. October 17, 2013. I was right there by her side. She was a fighter for sure. She has inspired me to try to succeed no matter what, and always be there for your children no matter what. She has taught me to always fight and to work hard for what you want in life. Out of all of this, she has inspired me to want to start living healthier as well. It has taken me a while to start, but I’m starting now as of this month and you can too!
