Gee, I don’t know if I have any great laundry tips but one thing I do is pretreat stains and wash the item as soon as I can to keep it from setting in the fabric. My family was terrible about putting wet wash cloths and towels in the laundry basket causing mildew on the other items in the basket. Now I keep a basket for them to hang the towels and washcloths over until they dry and then they are not mixed with the other laundry.

Always presoak your stains! Rinse them as soon as possible with cold water and apply a little detergent to the stained area and leave until you do laundry. (rub it in a little)

I like to toss a little baking soda in the wash, helps to kill nasty smells and seems to leave the whites a little whiter.

If an item gets stained, don’t wait to wash it when you have time. I can always find things to add to the wash to make a full load. And check the stain after you remove it from the wash…don’t just automatically put it in the dryer…learned that one the hard way.

Pour hydrogen peroxide freely on any blood stains and it will instantly foam up. You can wash item then or let sit and all blood will come out,
