You Can visit Gortons Site and and download a coupon, find recipes and explore products.
You can also connect with them on Facebook,Twitter and Pinter
I have teamed up with a Great group of bloggers to Bring you this Giveaway.
I had the opportunity to Review some of Gorton’s Products for free. Now, Im not a fish eater and actually will NOT eat anything to do with the sea, except for fish sticks, lol. I let my family do most of the taste testing (except I did eat the fish sticks, lol), while I took pictures.
I received my package from Gorton’s and in it was the following.
• 5 full-value product coupons to purchase any Gorton’s Food Products of my choice.
• 1 incredibly adorable Fisherman USB
• 1 Gorton’s-branded ship wheel keychain
• An assortment of Gorton’s recipe cards and beautiful seaside/Gorton’s postcards
I took my Five Coupons to the store and picked out the BIGGEST bag of Fish Sticks that I could find. It came with 115 sticks in the bag. I then picked up a Bag of Beer Battered Fish Fillets that had 10 of them in it, a bag of 8 Fish Sandwich Fillets, A box of 2 New Roasted Garlic and Italian Herb Seasoned White Pallock to cook in a frying pan, and a box of 2 Tilapia Garlic and Herb for the skillet.
The first that was cooked to try was the Gorton’s Fish sticks. My husband put them in the deep fryer and they cooked up very well and a nice crisp taste might I add. They weren’t real fishy tasting, JUST like I like. YUMMO, I know really different that its all I will eat when it comes to fish. Strange of me!! Anyhow, I really liked them and so did the rest of my family. I made my homemade tartar sauce to go with them.
The next two things that were made and the husband and kids had to try were the Beer Battered Fish and the Fish Sandwich Fillets.
My husband said that the Beer Battered fish were awesome. He really said they were full of flavor. The kids and my husband both said that the Fish Sandwich Fillets, were the REAL DEAL. Not like the fast food restaurants they said. (No specific one mentioned). They said the fish on both were tender and was just all around great. I do have to tell you, My husband mentioned that the Beer Battered Fish tasted JUST as well as a WELL known fish place that has been around for years. I was really surprised he said that, as that fish place is one of his favorite places to eat. So here is the picture we took of his dinner. Of course he just had to have his nasty Brussel Sprouts. I know, Im not the healthiest eater. I dont even like fruits and veggies either.
So the last thing that my husband and his mom tried were the Roasted Garlic and Italian Herb Seasoned White Pallock and the Tilapia Garlic and Herb for the skillet. He put both in the frying pan and cooked away. Both mother-in-law and my husband said that they were both VERY tasteful, flavored full of garlic and was really impressed with the both of them. Now, he couldnt wait on me to take the picture before he had to try, as you can see here. 🙂 He also wanted eggs with his fish. When I asked why eggs with fish, he said “Because I want lots of protein today.”
Overall, everything that was bought and cooked above was great and the taste testers really enjoyed being able to do this and I know I enjoyed taking the pictures, while they got their bellies full.
Now, its time for the giveaway.
