Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS, REGULATIONS, AND ORDINANCES. The Hawthorn Open House Instant-Win Game & Sweepstakes (“Promotion”) begins September 16, 2013 at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends October 27, 2013 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET (“Promotion Period”). Administrator’s computer is the official time-keeping device for this Promotion.

1. Sponsor/Administrator: Promotion sponsored by Hawthorn Suites Franchising, Inc., Parsippany, NJ 07054 (the “Sponsor”). Promotion administered by Berlin Productions, Inc., White Plains, NY 10601 (“Administrator”).

2. Eligibility. Promotion is open to all legal residents of the U.S. who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority in their state of residence at the time of the start of the Promotion (whichever is older). Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor and Administrator, their marketing agencies, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, consultants, contractors, legal counsel, advertising, public relations, promotional fulfillment, web site providers, web masters, as well as the immediate family (defined as parents, spouse, children, siblings, regardless of where they live) and same household members of each such employee, officer and director are not eligible to enter or win. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and to Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Promotion. Winning prize(s) is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. A valid email account, a valid Facebook® account and a current Wyndham Rewards membership number, each of which may be obtained for free, are required for full participation in the Promotion. A Wyndham Rewards membership number is not required for entry into the sweepstakes component of the Promotion only.

An entrant is not a winner of any prize unless and until entrant’s eligibility has been verified and entrant has fully complied with these Official Rules and he/she has been notified by Sponsor or its agency to such effect.

3. How to Enter. During the Promotion Period, visit www.facebook.com/Hawthorn and click on the Open HouseSweepstakes tab. If you have not yet “liked” the official Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham® Facebook page, a message to do so will appear. Clicking “like” will allow you to begin the Promotion entry process by following the links and instructions.

Entrants may opt to either (i) play the Instant-Win Game, which automatically enters them into the Sweepstakes and also qualifies them for a chance to win an Instant-Win Prize, or (ii) to enter the Sweepstakes without playing the Instant-Win Game. Entrants who do not play the Instant-Win Game will only be entered in the random drawing to win the Grand Prize; they will not have a chance to win an Instant-Win Prize, as defined below.

The instructions will indicate that enrollment in the Wyndham Rewards program is required for entry into the Instant-Win Game component of the Promotion. If you are already a member, you will be advised that it will be necessary to include your Wyndham Rewards membership number as part of the Instant-Win Game entry process. If you are not a Wyndham Rewards member, you will be advised that enrollment is free and that a Wyndham Rewards membership number may be easily obtained by clicking on the link provided to become a Wyndham Rewards member and instantly receive your member number. If you do not have a Wyndham Rewards membership number and do not wish to become a Wyndham Rewards member (or if you are a Wyndham Rewards member and are not interested in the Instant-Win Game), you may still enter the Sweepstakes component of the Promotion by clicking on the link for Sweepstakes entry only.

In addition to a Wyndham Rewards membership number required for entry into the Instant-Win Game, the Promotion entry form will require you to provide your full legal name, valid e-mail address, complete home address (street address only; p.o. boxes will not be accepted), and a valid telephone number, which may be used as a means of contact to notify you if you are a potential prize winner.

To Play the Instant-Win Game: After registration is completed, which requires Wyndham Rewards membership, an image of a Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham property will appear on-screen. Following the instructions to click on the start button will initiate the Instant-Win Game by activating an online “tour” of the Hawthorn Suites property. Once the “tour” is completed, clicking as instructed will reveal either a non-winning message or a message to inform you that you are a potential Instant-Win Prize winner.

If you receive a message that you are a potential Instant-Win Prize winner, you will be asked to verify your contact information previously submitted with your Promotion registration to begin the prize claim process. Whether you receive a winning message or a non-winning message in the Instant-Win Game, you will be automatically entered once into the Sweepstakes portion of the Promotion for that completed game play.

To Enter the Random Drawing Sweepstakes: To enter the Sweepstakes without playing the Instant-Win Game (which will not require Wyndham Rewards membership), click the “Just enter me in the sweepstakes” link and follow the instructions to complete the Sweepstakes entry form.

Only one (1) Promotion entry (either an Instant-Win game play with automatic Sweepstakes entry or a Sweepstakes entry only) per person/e-mail address is permitted per day (12:00:00 a.m. ET – 11:59:59 p.m. ET). Completing and submitting an online Promotion entry is the only means of participating in the Promotion.

Any attempt by any entrant to exceed the entry limit by using multiple/different e-mail addresses, identities, registrations, Wyndham Rewards Numbers and/or logins, or any other methods will void all that entrant’s entries and that entrant will be disqualified. Use of any automated, programmed or like means to enter the Promotion will result in disqualification. Sponsor and its agencies are not responsible for late, lost, garbled/undecipherable, misdirected, incomplete or invalid entries, which will be disqualified.

In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to enter will be deemed the entrant. The “authorized account holder” of an e-mail address is the natural person assigned this e-mail address by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address.
