Jenns Blah Blah Blog and all her favorite bloggers have joined up with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) to help raise awareness about Teen Driving!
I don’t know about you, but my teen getting behind the wheel scares me. I do trust the will do her best to follow the rules, and drive good, but accidents happen. I not only need to worry about my teen, but everyone else, and whether or not her and everyone around her will make the right decisions on the road. My biggest fear is that she will not realize the importance of staying off the phone while she is driving. Be sure to swing by and read our recent post about Teen Driving.
One very lucky winner will receive an Auto Safety Kit compliments of NAIC. The safety kit will include approx. $50 value; complete with first aid kit, booster cables, tow straps, flashlight, reflective triangles and more) to both you and the winner of your contest.
This giveaway will end on September 16, 2013 at 11:59pm EST. All entries will be entered into a drawing for an auto safety kit to help you or your teen stay safe on the road. Giveaway is open to the US, must be 18+, and use the Giveaway Tool widget below. Good Luck!

While the suggestions given were all solid, the other rule we used was, driving is a not a right, you pay to play. All of our kids had to have jobs and pay for their insurance out of their own pocket.

Good article. Even music and conversation can be distracting to teens and everyone while driving

It’s not only about telling the teens about texting it is also what they see when their parents are driving too. I see parents on cell phones with their kids in the car while they are driving. You have to practice what you preach.

If you need to text or make a call, pull over!

I really believe that texting should only be done when you are not driving it is so dangerous.. I wish cell phone companies would find some device to put on phones that wont let you text if you are in a moving vehicle… it would save many lives

I WORK IN AN AUTO BODY SHOP. BEST THING YOU CAN DO FOR ANY TEEN DRIVER IS TO SHOW THEM CAR THAT ARE ALL SMASHED UP. THEY LEARN RESPECTED FOR THE ROAD WHEN THEY DO.

I think other people in the car can be the most distracting thing.
