OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND D.C., 18 YEARS AND OLDER.
1. HOW TO ENTER: Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:00 pm Pacific Time (“PT”) on May 7, 2013 and ends at 11:59:59 am PT on July 29, 2013 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). During the Sweepstakes Period, visit www.glad.com (“Website”), click on the Trim Your Waste section in the navigation bar and follow the onscreen instructions to create a Glad Trim Your Waste profile (if you haven’t already). You may accrue sweepstakes entries by doing any of the following activities on the Website: A.) OPT-IN: Login or create a profile and opt-in to the sweepstakes (receive ten entries). Limit: ten entries per profile/person during the Sweepstakes Period via this method. B.) TAKE A PLEDGE: Take a pledge to reduce waste (receive ten entries). There will be a total of six different pledges. A new pledge will be posted every two weeks. Limit ten entries per profile/person/pledge via this method (maximum total of sixty entries during the Sweepstakes Period). C.) SHARE TIPS & ANSWER QUESTIONS: Answer the question and share a tip on how to reduce waste related to the pledge featured (receive ten entries). Limit ten entries per profile/person/question per week via this method (maximum total of 120 entries during the Sweepstakes Period). D. PLAY THE CONVEYER BELT GAME: Play the Conveyer Belt Game (receive one entry). Limit one entry per profile/person/day via this method (maximum total of 84 entries during the Sweepstakes Period). E.) INVITE-A-FRIEND: Share the promotion with friends via Facebook and/or Twitter. You will receive five entries when a unique friend visits the website and signs up for the promotion. Limit up to 100 entries during the Sweepstakes Period via this entry method. E.) REVIEW: Write a short review of a Glad product (that you have not already reviewed) on the website or send an email to email@example.com that includes a short essay, in 150 words or less, on why you may want to use a Glad product (receive one entry per product review or essay submitted via email). Your email must also include your contact information (name, street address, city, state, zip code and daytime phone number) as well as your preferred prize draw for entry to be eligible. You may only review (or write an essay) related to any Glad product once. Limit one entry per profile/email/person per product via this method (maximum total of 30 entries during the Sweepstakes Period). All reviews/essays must be different to be eligible for an entry. F.) UPC CODE: Enter a UPC Code from any of the following Glad product Categories: Compost, Kitchen, Large Trash and Recycle, or enter 123456789098 instead of a UPC where prompted for the UPC code (receive one entry/eligible UPC code entered). Limit one entry per profile/person per product category over the duration of the program (up to a maximum of four entries) via this method.
Once you complete any of the activities noted above, you will receive entries in the amount as noted above for each. At any time you may assign the entries from online activities you have accrued as either a donation to Keep America Beautiful (one entry = one $1 donation) or to the Grand Prize drawing or the next weekly First Prize drawing. The donation option will only be available if the goal of $10,000 is not yet reached. You can assign all accrued entries as donations or to any available drawing or assign any portion of your entries as donations and across any available prize drawings. Any unassigned entries for online activity at the end of the Sweepstakes Period will automatically be divided evenly among the Grand Prize drawing and final weekly First Prize drawing (if entries cannot be assigned evenly any leftover entries will be assigned to the Grand prize drawing). Once entries have been assigned as a donation or to a drawing the assignment cannot be changed. If more than a maximum number of entries allowed are received from the same account/person, all entries received from that account/person will be void. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated or mechanical means will be void.
2. ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry, except employees, officers, directors and agents of The Clorox Company (“Sponsor”), Promotions.com, LLC (“Judges”), Evans Hunt, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, sales representatives, wholesalers, distributors, printers, and advertising and promotion agencies (collectively, “Promotion Parties”), and members of the immediate families (parent, child, sibling and spouse and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and households of each, whether or not related, who are not eligible to enter or win a prize in the sweepstakes. Void where prohibited. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
3. RANDOM DRAWINGS: Beginning on May 14, 2013 weekly winners will be selected in weekly random drawings according to the weekly entry assignments made to award three First Prizes per week. On or about July 30, 2013 a Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing from the entries assigned to the Grand Prize drawing to award the Grand Prize. Drawings will be conducted from among all eligible entries assigned to each drawing. Drawings will be conducted by Judges, whose decisions are final and binding. Odds of winning in any drawing depend upon number of eligible entries assigned to each drawing. Potential Grand Prize winner will be contacted by mail and must sign and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability and a Publicity Release (unless prohibited) within seven (7) days of date of notification or prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate winner selected. Winner’s guest must also timely return a Liability/Publicity Release. Failure to return such documents within the specified time period, the return of any prizes or prize notifications as undeliverable, Sponsor’s inability to contact a potential winner in a reasonable time period or noncompliance with these Official Rules may result in disqualification and, at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate winner will be selected. First Prizes will be emailed to the winners following the drawings.
4. PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (“ARVs”): One (1) Grand Prize: a $2,500 pre-paid cash card. ARV: $2,500. Thirty six (36) First Prizes (3 per weekly drawing): $100 digital prize that can be redeemed at a Sponsor designated online redemption site for winner’s choice of music downloads, ebooks, audiobooks, and apps (up to a maximum value of $100). ARV: $100. Gift card and digital prizes are subject to terms and conditions of the issuers. Approximate retail value of all prizes is $6,100. No substitutions, cash equivalents, or transfers of prizes permitted by winners. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Limit one (1) first prize per person. All federal, state and local taxes as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided are the responsibility of winners.
